We have known Di (and Robert)for many years but really got to know her well during our frequent visits to her second home in Marigny. Under her command we built walls, dug gardens, erected swimming pools, constructed decks and had lots of fun mixed with plenty of wine whilst doing so.
She ran an open house – all were welcome and she displayed so much kindness and help to many of her French and Dutch neighbours
During our times spent together we could not help to pick up some of her expressions (as well as a few of her Dutch swear words) so as well as remembering her for her sense of humour and kindness we will continue to use her phrases and smile at the memory.

As my Mother said, who’s going to be looking at you!
I want it! I want it NOW!!
Stop being such a tart. (usually directed at Robert)
