Fond Memories

Created by Alan 5 years ago

We first met Di, over 40 years ago, at the Preston Cross Squash Club. It was to be the beginning of a long, loving and enduring friendship. Di was a warm, enthusiastic fun loving human being who gave generously of her time to everything she involved herself in.

We spent 40 unforgettable New Years Eve parties with her, Robert and " the gang ", welcoming in the coming year, grandly and merrily.

Once Di had her home in France,we spent many a happy holiday with her and Robert, lending a hand with the various projects including the never ending "mole bashing" sessions; mostly to little avail. Typical of her generous nature, when we decided to move to France, Di immediately offered us her house, in which to stay and store our furniture, until we found the right place to live.

More recently, when Sue and I had serious health issues, she was constantly in touch with her cheerful encouragement and concern.

She was a unique lady with a wonderful zest for life and an infectious sense of fun and humour. We were privileged to have had her as our friend. We loved her dearly and she will remain forever in our hearts.

With love, Sue and Alan
